Patient Information
Your First Visit
We ask that you arrive about 10 minutes early for your first appointment so that you have plenty of time to fill out a New Patient form.
Children Under 15
If you have a child under the age of 15, we ask that you bring their health card to their first appointment. Some dental procedures are covered under the Nova Scotia Children’s Oral Health Program.
Initial Examination
Your dentist will review your dental history and complete a dental exam. This will include an examination of your gums, teeth, bite and jaw, an oral cancer screening and any X-rays that may be required.
Treatment Plan
At Antigonish Family Dentistry, we like to keep our patients informed and do what we can to ensure you understand your diagnosis as well as your treatment plan. Your dentist will also take the time to answer any questions you have about your treatment options.
Insurance & Financing
At Antigonish Family Dentistry, we'll help you navigate our payment options, insurance claims, and financing so you can focus on achieving your dental goals.
Insurance Claims
We can direct bill your insurance company and our administrative team is happy to assist you in understanding your insurance plan better.
Payment Methods
The full treatment cost must be paid at the end of each appointment. We accept payment by cash, debit, most major credit cards, and e-transfers.
For patients who require extensive dental care, we are pleased to offer flexible payment plans. Please speak to our staff if you believe a payment plan may be right for you or if you have any questions.
